Job summary

Sumter School District is seeking a Systems Technician to maintain district computer and network equipment, troubleshoot hardware and software, and support end-users across sites. The role includes installing operating systems, configuring accounts, and coordinating repair requests to keep technology running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have related education, A+ and networking certifications, and experience with school district technology.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree Preferred.
• A+ certification and networking certifications preferred.
• Documented training in computer hardware, software and network use, troubleshooting, and repair.

Responsibilities

• Installs and maintains computer operating systems, application software, and related equipment.
• Performs computer and network hardware and software repair (computers, servers, switches, printers, scanners, and programs).
• Provides technical support to users of hardware and software.
• Maintains school-based computer labs in good working order.
• Travels to district locations to repair hardware, install software, and assist end-users.
