Job summary

Stafford County Public Schools is seeking a Computer Technician to support the Department of Innovation and Technology. The role focuses on maintaining server and network infrastructure and deploying, administering, and maintaining IT-managed endpoints across sites.

The technician will provide frontline support to site-based staff and assist with documentation, training needs, and technology projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of job-related experience required.
• CompTIA A+ or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot technology issues and coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to manage server and network infrastructure.
• Manage endpoint device deployments across sites.
• Assist with installation, maintenance, and operation of a network.
• Assist sites with procurement, inventory, and licensure adherence.
• Serve as liaison between school-based technicians and the Department of Innovation and Technology.
• Participate in technology projects and training sessions.
