Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time LifeWise vehicle driver to transport students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. The role requires punctual, responsible candidates with a clean driving record and a mature Christian faith aligned with our Statement of Faith.

CDL-P endorsement is required for 15-passenger vehicles, with documentation for drivers over 75. Responsibilities include safety-focused driving, vehicle inspection, and supporting classroom activities as agreed.

Qualifications

• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Regular driver's license held for past three years
• CDL with endorsement for driving a passenger vehicle (P) for 15-passenger buses
• Age 21–80; drivers over 75 require additional documentation
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in last five years
• Undergo background check and annual Physician's Statement if medically required
• Drug and/or alcohol testing as required

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site
• Obey traffic laws
• Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus
• Perform regular inspections of the bus
• Refuel the vehicle as needed
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children
• Enforce safety rules for students
• Assist students with entering or exiting the vehicle
• Demonstrate a calm and caring demeanor
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if agreed upon with the Director
