Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time LifeWise vehicle driver to transport students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. You must be punctual, maintain a clean driving record, and ensure safety and care for students during transit.

Applicants should hold a valid CDL with passenger endorsement for 15-passenger vehicles, undergo background checks and drug testing, and comply with LifeWise safety policies. Training and religious alignment are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license held continuously for at least 3 years.
• CDL with Passenger Endorsement required for driving a 15-passenger vehicle.
• Age 21–80; extra documentation for those over 75.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in the last 5 years.
• Background check through LifeWise Academy.
• Yearly Physician’s Statement for known medical conditions.
• Drug testing pre-employment, annually and after accidents.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain bus cleanliness and mechanical safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children.
• Enforce safety rules and assist students entering/exiting the vehicle.
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if requested by the Director.
