Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a Part-Time driver to transport students and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. You must be responsible, punctual, and maintain a clean driving record.

Qualifications include a mature Christian faith aligned with our beliefs, active church participation, a valid regular driver's license (CDL with passenger endorsement for large vehicles when required), age 21–80, and the ability to pass background checks, an MVR, and drug tests.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise beliefs.
• Regular driver's license (a copy may be kept on file).
• The driver must have been continuously licensed for the past three years.
• Appropriate special licenses (CDL with passenger endorsement for vehicles seating >15).
• Age 21-80. Drivers over 75 must submit physician's statement annually.
• CDL licensed drivers over 75 must submit CDL copy and endorsement annually.
• Medical conditions require yearly physician's statement.
• Background check, MVR, drug/alcohol testing as required.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular inspections of the bus.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children.
• Enforce safety rules for students.
• Assist students with entering or exiting the vehicle as needed.
• Demonstrate a calm and caring demeanor.
• Be aware of which students need help or are misbehaving.
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if agreed upon with the Director.
