Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a dependable part-time vehicle driver to transport students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. You will ensure safety, cleanliness, and adherence to traffic laws during each trip.

The role requires a mature Christian faith, active church involvement, and a valid regular driver's license. CDL with passenger endorsement is needed for larger buses; annual physician statements and random drug testing may apply.

Qualifications

• Mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise beliefs as per the What We Believe statement.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise beliefs.
• Regular driver's license with record suitable for program file.
• Driver must have been licensed continuously for the past three years.
• CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement for 15+ seat buses; no special license for 15-passenger van.
• Age range 21–80; drivers over 75 provide annual physician's statement and CDL copy as applicable.
• All drivers undergo background checks and MVR reviews.
• Annual physician's statement if medically required; drug/alcohol testing as required.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus safety and cleanliness.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create a safe environment; enforce safety rules for students.
• Assist students entering or exiting the vehicle; stay calm and caring.
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if invited by the Director.
