Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time LifeWise vehicle driver to transport students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site, ensuring safety and compliance with traffic laws.

The role requires a mature Christian faith, a valid regular driver's license with a clean record, and CDL with passenger endorsement for larger vehicles. Training, background checks, and annual medical documentation are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Must uphold a mature Christian faith consistent with LifeWise Academy beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise Statement of Faith.
• Valid regular driver's license; clean driving record for past 3 years.
• CDL with P endorsement required for 15+ passenger vehicles; 15-passenger van requires no special license.
• Ages 21–80; drivers over 75 must provide additional documentation annually when applicable.
• Background check; annual Physician's Statement for known medical conditions; drug testing as required.

Responsibilities

• Transport students and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and safety.
• Perform regular inspections and refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create a safe environment for children and enforce safety rules.
• Assist students entering or exiting and monitor behavior; support classroom activities when agreed.
• Volunteer in LifeWise classrooms as approved by the Director.
