Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Ohio is seeking a part-time CDL bus driver to provide safe transportation for public school students to and from LifeWise sites. The ideal candidate is reliable, punctual and maintains a clean driving record, aligned with LifeWise safety standards.

Responsibilities include inspecting the bus, refueling, enforcing safety rules, assisting students, and completing required LifeWise training.

Qualifications

• CDL license with passenger endorsement (P) required.
• School bus (S) endorsement preferred.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in the last five years.
• Background check through LifeWise Academy.
• Drug and/or alcohol testing required (pre-employment, random, and post-accidents).
• 21–80 years old; annual CDL license and P Endorsement verification if over 75.
• Active faith alignment with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Participation in and commitment to a local church aligned with LifeWise faith.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain safe driving practices.
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules.
• Assist students entering or exiting the vehicle; monitor behavior.
• Complete required LifeWise Academy training; volunteer in LifeWise classroom if agreed.
