LifeWise Academy in Ohio is seeking a LifeWise CDL bus driver to transport students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. The role emphasizes safety, punctuality, and a caring demeanor while ensuring proper bus maintenance and adherence to laws.

The ideal candidate holds a CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement, meets age and background requirements, and will complete required trainings as a part-time driver for LifeWise Academy.

Qualifications

• CDL license with passenger endorsement (P) required.
• School bus (S) endorsement preferred.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations within the last five years.
• Background check and drug/alcohol testing are required.
• Annual physician's statement for medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular inspections of the bus.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Enforce safety rules for students.
• Assist students entering/exiting the vehicle as needed.
• Demonstrate a calm and caring demeanor.
• Be aware of which students need help or are misbehaving.
• Complete training required by LifeWise Academy.
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if agreed upon with the director.
