Job summary

Candor is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to empower students and schools. You will evaluate needs, communicate findings to parents and educators, and develop evidence-based interventions within the IEP framework, helping students participate more fully in education.

You will deliver direct therapy or supervise COTAs, monitor progress with detailed records, and collaborate in IEP meetings to advocate for students' growth.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Active Occupational Therapist license issued by the TABOT.
• CPR certification.
• Bilingual skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate Needs: Perform OT assessments to determine students' needs and eligibility for specialized services.
• Communicate Findings: Communicate evaluation findings to parents, educators, and other stakeholders, offering clear, actionable recommendations.
• Develop Interventions: Collaborate with the IEP team to create evidence-based interventions that promote student participation, access to education, and skill development.
• Provide Therapy: Deliver direct therapy services or oversee COTAs in implementing IEP goals.
• Monitor Progress: Maintain accurate, detailed records of student progress and use data to adjust interventions as needed.
• Support Team: Actively participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions to advocate for students and support their growth.
