Job summary

Candor Consulting & Diagnostics is hiring an Occupational Therapist to evaluate student needs, determine eligibility for services, and collaborate with school teams to design evidence-based interventions. You will provide direct therapy or supervise COTAs to implement IEP goals while maintaining detailed progress records.

The role emphasizes collaboration with parents and educators, clear communication of findings, and ongoing participation in IEP meetings.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Occupational Therapist license issued by the Texas Advisory Board of Occupational Therapy (TABOT).
• CPR certification is required.
• Bilingual skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate Needs: Perform Occupational Therapy assessments to determine students' needs and eligibility for specialized services.
• Communicate Findings: Communicate evaluation findings to parents, educators, and other stakeholders, offering clear, actionable recommendations.
• Develop Interventions: Collaborate with the IEP team to create evidence-based interventions that promote student participation, access to education, and skill development.
• Provide Therapy: Deliver direct therapy services or oversee COTAs in implementing IEP goals.
• Monitor Progress: Maintain accurate records of student progress and use data to adjust interventions as needed.
• Support Team: Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary discussions to advocate for students.
