Job summary

Candor Consulting & Diagnostics is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to empower students and support schools with functional skill development. Your role involves conducting assessments, determining eligibility for services, and collaborating with teachers and families to plan evidence-based interventions.

You will deliver direct therapy or supervise COTAs, maintain progress data, and participate in IEP meetings to advocate for student growth in education, social, and emotional

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Active Occupational Therapist license issued by the Texas Advisory Board of Occupational Therapy (TABOT).
• CPR certification.
• Bilingual skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate Needs: Perform Occupational Therapy assessments to determine students' needs and eligibility for specialized services.
• Communicate Findings: Communicate evaluation findings to parents, educators, and other stakeholders, offering clear, actionable recommendations.
• Develop Interventions: Collaborate with the IEP team to create evidence-based interventions that promote student participation, access to education, and skill development.
• Provide Therapy: Deliver direct therapy services or oversee Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in implementing IEP goals.
• Monitor Progress: Maintain accurate, detailed records of student progress and use data to adjust interventions as needed.
• Support Team: Actively participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions to advocate for students and support their growth.
