Job summary

The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit (MCIU) seeks a Behavior Analyst to support the Office of Student Services in developing behavior management programs for students with diverse needs. The role collaborates with classroom staff and the program supervisor to implement data-driven strategies.

Responsibilities include observing students, developing data collection methods, revising IEPs when needed, and guiding staff in behavior modification. Travel across Montgomery County is required.

Qualifications

• BCBA certification is required.
• Ability to work as a team and with staff in a courteous, cooperative manner.
• Valid PA driver’s license and travel to classrooms throughout Montgomery County.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation to teachers and program supervisor on observing students with management problems and collecting baseline data.
• Develop data collection techniques and describe behavior programs for specific students.
• Assist in developing behavior management programs for the classroom milieu and specific students.
• Attend IEP meetings with parents, teachers and the program supervisor to discuss behavior modification.
• Instruct staff in passive restraint techniques when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Administrator(s).
