Job summary

Northbridge Public Schools seeks a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide behavior analysis services and develop behavior management plans for students with disabilities. You will support school staff and families with ABA-based interventions, assessments, and IEP-related initiatives.

The role includes training staff, conducting functional assessments, and traveling between sites to support students and families throughout the school year.

Qualifications

• Ability to develop and communicate detailed behavior management plans with rationale based on a functional behavior assessment.
• Ability to interpret statistical data in relation to behavioral scales.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding and to communicate options when several variables exist.
• Communicate effectively, orally and in writing; read, write, speak and understand English.
• Commitment to staying current in behavior supports laws and best practices.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with students, families, colleagues, and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Develop materials and provide resources for administrators, educators, and families in ABA or evidence-based methodologies.
• Plan and oversee development and implementation of ABA-based programs for students with autism and other disabilities.
• Conduct behavior assessments such as functional analyses when needed by school staff.
• Develop and maintain behavioral data and create monthly progress reports.
• Monitor implementation and effectiveness of behavior support plans and programming.
• Assist in monitoring student behavioral progress via data analysis and observation.
• Provide training to support staff to implement behavior plans and data collection systems.
• Assist in development and implementation of IEPs.
• Serve as a resource to classroom teachers and assistants.
• Travel between sites for direct treatment, consultation, and collaboration.
• Supervise BCBA candidates and ABA staff as appropriate.
• Participate in required professional development and staff meetings.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Pupil Personnel Services.
