Job summary

Cortica is seeking a School-Based Behavioral Technician to provide 1:1 behavior support to students with autism in Long Beach, CA. You'll work with educators and Cortica's clinical team to help students engage and learn throughout the school day.

The role involves implementing individualized BIPs, data collection, and collaboration with school staff. Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel between sites.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of work experience in ABA / Behavior Technician roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel between work locations.
• First aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 behavior support and data collection in school settings.
• Implement BIPs and skill acquisition programs aligned with IEP goals.
• Collaborate with school teams and caregivers to integrate behavioral strategies.
• Support student communication, social skills, self-regulation, and self-care as appropriate.
• Travel between assigned school sites within the service area.
