Job summary

Cortica in Torrance, CA is seeking a School Behavior Technician to provide 1:1 behavior support to students with autism and other neurodevelopmental differences in school settings. You’ll collaborate with educators, caregivers, and Cortica’s clinical team to help students succeed across their school day.

This school-based role follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:30 AM to 3:45 PM, with a minimum of 4 paid hours per day when assigned. Administrative time is available 7:30–11:30 AM.

Qualifications

• One year of work experience in ABA / Behavior Technician roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between work locations.
• First aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Execute responsibilities of BCAT certification within 30 days where required.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group neurodiversity-affirming behavior analytic services in schools.
• Implement individualized BIPs and skill acquisition programs aligned with IEPs and goals.
• Collaborate with school teams to integrate behavioral strategies into daily routines.
• Support communication, social skills, self-regulation, and self-care in students as appropriate.
• Collect data on progress and behaviors and complete documentation.
