Job summary

The YMCA is seeking a School Age Program Coordinator to oversee before/after/summer programs, ensuring smooth daily operations and adherence to grant requirements. You will supervise staff, coordinate events, and monitor compliance with licensing and sanitation rules to deliver safe, engaging programming for children.

Ideal candidates have relevant education, at least 2 years in program coordination, and experience with grant-funded initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Education, Youth Development, or Early Childhood Education or related field; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in program coordination or management, preferably in youth development.
• Grant-funded program experience and compliance knowledge is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of youth development principles and grant requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of before/after/summer program and ensure smooth execution.
• Coordinate and schedule program events and sessions.
• Ensure activities align with grant objectives and licensing/ sanitation rules.
• Provide guidance and support to group leaders; recruit, train, and evaluate staff.
