Job summary

YMCA of Catawba Valley is seeking a Group Leader to guide before/after school and summer programs. You will plan and implement engaging activities, supervise children, and maintain a safe, inclusive environment while building positive relationships with families and staff.

Strong organizing, communication, and teamwork are essential. Prior experience with youth programs is preferred, and a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; EDU 119 preferred, BSAC.
• Experience working with children in group settings preferred.
• Knowledge of child development, safety and behavior management.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement diverse activities for children.
• Supervise children to ensure safety and well-being.
• Enforce program rules and address behavioral issues.
• Communicate with parents and program staff regularly.
• Maintain attendance, incidents, and program records.
