Job summary

Sur La Table in West Palm Beach, FL, seeks a Chef Instructor, Savory to be the in-store expert for savory cooking. You will deliver best-in-class service by sharing culinary techniques and personalized instruction to support company initiatives and drive sales of cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools.

You will run hands-on savory classes, maintain food safety standards, engage customers, and help promote class enrollment.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Degree in culinary arts preferred; however, candidates with extensive culinary experience and demonstrated technical proficiency will be considered in lieu of formal education.
• 1–2 years of kitchen operations experience.
• Valid Food Manager Certification.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and providing exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table's brand by creating memorable in-store culinary experiences.
• Deliver savory cooking classes following provided recipes and game plans to ensure consistency and quality.
• Explain technical cooking concepts in a clear, encouraging manner.
• Stay current on products, participate in training, and seek out additional resources to deepen expertise.
• Drive class enrollment and promote retail items featured in class; contribute to guest satisfaction and loyalty.
