Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U Device & Work Management Functional Manager in the United States to lead end-to-end design and delivery of SAP IS-U Device and Work Management solutions. You will own the device/work management workstream, define the functional approach, and ensure alignment with metering and field operations to support reliable utility operations.

You will lead functional teams, collaborate with business, technical, vendor, and program stakeholders to drive solution quality,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
4–6 years SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience in device/work management.
3+ years leading a functional workstream or team.
Experience owning SAP IS-U Device & Work Management design & delivery.
Experience integrating SAP IS-U with AMI/MDMS, EDM, GIS, inventory, SAP Plant Maintenance, and mobile solutions.
Experience leading requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution workshops.
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Owning the SAP IS-U Device and Work Management workstream, including scope, target processes, solution decisions, delivery plans, quality, risks, and outcomes.
Defining and governing the functional design for device lifecycle management, meter reading, field service, work execution, and controls.
Lead requirements gathering, fit-gap assessments, solution workshops, and design reviews.
Drive end-to-end integration across SAP IS-U and related platforms.
Lead the design and delivery of device and field-work processes, including lifecycle, meter reading, service orders, and handoffs.
Manage cross-workstream dependencies and ensure alignment across end-to-end processes.
Develop and oversee functional specs, documentation, and design decisions.
Lead functional consultants, coordinate vendor teams, and resolve issues.
Oversee testing and defect resolution for meter-to-cash processes and integrations.
Manage scope, estimates, risks, and stakeholder decisions; communicate options to leadership.
Lead cutover, reconciliation, training, production readiness, and post-go-live activities.
Build trusted client relationships and provide guidance on SAP IS-U capabilities.
