Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U Billing Functional Manager to lead the end-to-end design and delivery of SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solutions within utility transformation programs. You will own the Billing workstream, define the functional approach, and ensure alignment across the meter-to-cash process.

You will lead functional teams, drive solution quality, testing, deployment, and operational readiness, including time-of-use and interval billing, with travel of 40–60% to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Deep functional knowledge of SAP IS-U Billing and invoicing within the utility meter‑to‑cash process.
• Understanding of utility rates, tariffs, billing cycles, exceptions, and financial impacts.
• Ability to translate complex regulatory and business requirements into scalable SAP IS-U designs.
• Proven experience leading SAP IS-U Billing transformation initiatives and client engagements.
• Strong analytical, facilitation, and decision-making skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing dependencies across workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Own the SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing workstream from design through deployment and stabilization.
• Define target functional design for billing, tariffs, billing schemas, and high-volume processing.
• Lead requirements gathering, fit-gap analyses, and design governance for scalable SAP IS-U solutions.
• Drive end-to-end integration with related SAP IS-U capabilities (Device Management, EDM, FI-CA).
• Lead complex billing scenarios including time-of-use, interval billing, rebilling, and reconciliation.
• Oversee functional specifications, documentation, configuration standards, and quality control.
