Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U Billing Functional Manager to lead end-to-end design and delivery of SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solutions. You will own the Billing workstream, translate complex rate and regulatory requirements, and ensure alignment across the meter-to-cash process while guiding cross-functional teams.

You will define target designs, drive integration with EDM, FI-CA, and related capabilities, and oversee testing, cutover, and operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4–6 years’ SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience.
• Hands-on SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing experience; 3+ years leading a workstream.
• Experience with time-of-use and/or interval-based billing and EDM integration.
• Experience with related IS-U capabilities (Device Management, FI-CA, Customer Service, bill print).
• Strong leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
• Willingness to travel 40–60%.

Responsibilities

• Own the SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing workstream from design through deployment and stabilization.
• Define target functional design for Billing and Invoicing, including rate structures and billing schemas.
• Lead requirements, fit-gap analyses, workshops, and design governance for scalable SAP IS-U solutions.
• Drive end-to-end integration across Billing and related SAP IS-U capabilities (EDM, FI-CA, etc.).
• Lead complex billing scenarios including time-of-use, interval billing, and rebates/rebilling.
• Develop functional specs, documentation, and design standards for consistency.
• Coach and review the functional team, manage ownership, resolve cross-workstream issues.
• Oversee testing and defect resolution for rates, tariffs, cycles, and invoicing.
• Manage scope, estimates, risks, and stakeholder decisions; communicate impacts clearly.
• Lead cutover planning, training, production readiness, and post-go-live stabilization.
• Build trusted client relationships and provide guidance on SAP IS-U capabilities.
