Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U Billing Functional Manager to lead end-to-end design and delivery of SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solutions for utility clients. You will own the Billing workstream, translate rate structures and regulatory requirements into scalable SAP IS-U designs, and collaborate with business, technical, and program stakeholders to ensure solution quality and operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4–6 years SAP IS-U/Utilities experience, with 3+ years leading a functional workstream.
• Proven experience owning SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing design and delivery through implementation, testing, and stabilization.
• Experience with time-of-use and/or interval-based billing and EDM integration.
• Experience leading requirements gathering, workshops, design, testing, cutover, and operational readiness.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Owning the SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing workstream from design through deployment and post-go-live stabilization.
• Defining target functional design for Billing, tariffs, schemas, controls, and high-volume processing.
• Leading requirements gathering, fit-gap assessments, solution workshops, and design governance.
• Driving end-to-end integration across Billing and related SAP IS-U capabilities.
• Leading design and delivery of complex billing scenarios, including time-of-use and rebilling.
• Developing and overseeing functional specs, documentation, and standards.
• Coaching functional team members and resolving cross-workstream issues.
• Overseeing testing and defect resolution for rates, cycles, invoicing, and financial impacts.
• Managing scope, estimates, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder decisions.
• Leading cutover planning and billing-cycle transition activities.
• Building trusted client relationships and providing functional guidance.
