Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Sample Control Technician 3 / Lab Technician 2 in Fresno, CA, to manage receipt, logging, and shipment of laboratory samples with strict adherence to regulatory and SOP requirements.

You will prepare bottle kits, ensure accurate chain-of-custody documentation, and coordinate with project managers while maintaining LMS data, labeling, and safe handling of materials in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree preferred.
• Experience with Chain of Custody (COC) processes.
• Experience with Laboratory Management Systems (LMS).
• Knowledge of DOT regulations related to shipments.
• Familiarity with EPA requirements and SOP adherence.

Responsibilities

• Log and track receipt and shipment of samples; verify receipt.
• Receive/unload samples per DOT; verify against COC.
• Review COCs for accuracy; resolve discrepancies.
• Log samples in LMS; assign lot numbers; distribute paperwork.
• Label and organize samples by lot numbers; deliver to labs.
• Prepare bottle kits; ship to clients; comply with EPA/DOT.
• Forward samples to other labs per DOT when needed.
• Dispose of hazardous materials per procedures.
• Monitor freezer/cooler temperatures daily per SOP.
• Clean and organize department; promote safety.
• Stock supplies and maintain inventory daily.
