Job summary

Eurofins Scientific is seeking a Sample Control Technician for the Fort Myers area to manage receipt, labeling, and routing of samples within the laboratory network. Tasks include preparing bottle kits, ensuring Chain of Custody, and logging into the Lab Management System daily to maintain accurate records.

The role emphasizes safety, DOT compliance, and timely communication with project managers. A valid driver’s license and English proficiency are required; some courier duties may be involved.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state driver’s license to operate company vehicles.
• TWIC card and TSA clearance may be required within 90 days of hire.
• May drive for long periods, up to 8 hours per day.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship.
• Professional working proficiency in English including reading, writing and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Receives and unloads incoming samples per DOT, verifies against Chain of Custody.
• Logs samples into Lab Management System daily for lot numbering.
• Labels samples and routes to appropriate labs for analysis.
• Prepares bottle kits for shipping to clients and returns for analysis.
• Disposes of spent samples and hazardous materials per SOPs and regulations.
