Job summary

Eurofins USA Environment Testing in Tustin, CA is seeking a Sample Control Technician. You will receive, log, label, and sign Chain of Custody, while ensuring sample integrity and proper documentation. On-site sampling, restocking, and safe shipping/receiving are included in the role.

The position offers full-time hours with training 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, transitioning to 10:00 AM–7:00 PM shift. Compensation ranges from $18–$21 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a fast paced, production, food service or retail environment preferred.
• Computer skills preferred.
• Ability to prioritize.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Professional working proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).

Responsibilities

• Receive, log in and label samples, and bottle orders for sign-in and analysis.
• Count the number of samples on receipt to verify chain of custody.
• Verify samples are not broken or damaged.
• Receive and sign the Chain of Custody.
• Ensure client signs, dates, and records time on the Chain of Custody when releasing samples.
• Inspect samples for damage or hold times to protect integrity.
• Interact with Project Managers and clients professionally.
• Communicate effectively with couriers.
• Restock supplies and maintain a safe shipping/receiving area.
• Perform on-site sampling events as needed.
• Dispose of samples monthly per EPA/ES&H guidelines.
