Job summary

Certified Group is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our lab team in California. You will log samples into the LIMS, split samples, and provide proactive customer service while ensuring timely, accurate testing and adherence to ISO and QC requirements.

The role requires a high school diploma, good aseptic technique, strong organizational skills, and the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs. The position operates Monday–Friday, 10:00AM–6:30PM, in a fast-paced laboratory setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and cross-contamination prevention.
• Ability to perform basic lab techniques.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Good communication and manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Log customer samples into LIMS and split samples between departments.
• Provide proactive customer service via phone, email, or video chat.
• Ensure samples are properly labeled, stored at correct temperatures, and tested timely.
• Maintain ISO and QC requirements; assist with purchasing and inventory as needed.
• Work with other departments and assist in media prep and general lab housekeeping.
