Job summary

Eurofins USA Environment Testing in Anchorage, AK is seeking a Sample Control Technician I to manage receipt/logging of samples, prepare bottle kits, and ensure proper chain of custody and labeling for timely analysis. You may perform courier duties, drive, and assist with safe disposal and inventory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• DOT Certificate may be required for shipping hazardous chemicals within 90 days of date of hire.
• Valid state issued driver's license to operate company vehicles.
• Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle background check as required for company driver certification.
• TWIC card and TSA clearance may be required within 90 days of date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Receives and unloads incoming samples per DOT regulations and verifies receipt against Chain of Custody (COC).
• Logs samples into Lab Management System daily and distributes paperwork to Project Managers.
• Labels samples and delivers to appropriate labs for analysis.
• Prepares bottle kits to be shipped to clients for sample collection and return.
• Forwards samples to other laboratories per DOT regulations.
• Disposes of spent samples and hazardous waste per procedures.
• Monitors freezer and cooler temperatures daily to SOPs.
• Cleans and organizes department to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Maintains safety and environmental compliance in operations.
• Stocks inventory and assists with supplies to perform tasks.
• Performs splits and composites as needed; may perform courier duties.
• Complies with all driver procedures and company policies.
• Willing to be on-call during non-business hours for non-routine sampling and delivery.
• Maintains walk-in coolers and ships empty coolers back to clients.
