Ideal candidate will have income/franchise and sales/use tax experience and will work directly with CFOs and leaders from middle-market and Fortune 500 clients.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree required.
• Masters or advanced degree preferred.
• CPA or Law License required.
• Eight+ years of SALT experience in a professional services firm preferred.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience desired.
• Ability to lead and supervise others and deliver high-quality client service.

Responsibilities

• Be a trusted advisor to middle market and Fortune 500 clients on state and local tax matters.
• Manage multi-state reviews covering income, franchise, sales and use taxes to optimize filing options.
• Research SALT issues including nexus, taxability, and potential liabilities.
• Counsel clients on state and local tax controversies and respond to notices.
• Plan and execute tax projects including due diligence and voluntary disclosure.
• Prepare technical memoranda on SALT issues for various entities.
• Maintain client communication and propose process improvements.
• Mentor staff and manage engagement staffing and profitability.
