Baker Tilly seeks a State & Local Tax Senior Manager to join our SALT consulting practice in the U.S. You will work closely with CFOs and business leaders from middle market and Fortune 500 companies on multi-state income, franchise and sales/use tax.

This role emphasizes leadership, client service and project management, including nexus analyses, taxability determinations, voluntary disclosures, audits, ruling requests and tax engine implementations.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree required with advanced degree preferred.
• CPA or Law license required.
• 8+ years in state and local tax, with supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise multi-state SALT engagements for middle market and Fortune 500 clients.
• Provide strategic state and local tax compliance and consulting to reduce tax burdens.
• Mentor staff, manage staffing, and ensure profitability targets are met.
• Advise on nexus, taxability, voluntary disclosures, audits, and ruling requests.
