Qualifications

• 4-year degree required.
• Masters or advanced degree preferred.
• CPA or Law license required.
• 8+ years of state and local tax experience in a professional services firm.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Be a trusted advisor to middle market and Fortune 500 clients on state and local tax compliance and consulting services.
• Manage multi-state reviews of income, franchise, sales and use, and other taxes to identify optimal options and incentives.
• Research state and local tax issues including nexus determinations and taxability analyses.
• Counsel clients on controversies, prepare ruling requests, and defend against audits.
• Plan and execute tax projects, including due diligence and voluntary disclosures.
• Prepare technical memoranda on state and local tax issues for various entities.
• Maintain active client communication and suggest process improvements.
• Manage staff and seniors on engagements, overseeing staffing and profitability targets.
• Invest in professional development and mentoring of team members.
