Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP is seeking a State & Local Tax Senior Manager with a consulting focus to join our growing SALT practice in the United States. The role requires extensive experience in income, franchise, and sales/use tax, with a preference for candidates located near Baker Tilly offices.

You will lead multi-state reviews, advise on tax controversies, and manage engagement teams while developing client relationships and driving value for middle-market and Fortune 500 clients.

Qualificações

• 4 year degree required.
• CPA, Law License or CMI qualifications.
• Eight (8) + year(s) experience in state and local tax, professional services firm experience preferred 2+ year(s) of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates desired
• Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, stay current and deliver quality on time

Responsabilidades

• Be a trusted advisor to middle market and Fortune 500 clients by providing strategic state and local tax compliance and consulting services.
• Manage multi-disciplinary, multi-state reviews including income, franchise, sales and use taxes to identify optimal filing options and credits.
• Research nexus, taxability analyses, and liabilities for state and local taxes.
• Counsel clients on state and local tax controversies and audits.
• Plan and execute tax projects including due diligence and disclosure work.
• Prepare technical memoranda on SALT issues for various entities.
• Maintain client communications and suggest business/process improvements.
• Lead and mentor staff on engagements, managing staffing and billings.
