Job summary

Belk is seeking a Salon Retail Coordinator to manage the front desk operations and support salon management. The role emphasizes customer service, point-of-sale transactions, and retail product upselling to clients in a busy salon setting.

The position requires excellent communication, the ability to handle money accurately, and a willingness to educate oneself on products and services to promote offerings to clients. It is a nonexempt, on-site role reporting to the Salon Manager.

Qualifications

• GED or High School diploma is required.
• Proficient in computer-based business software.
• Ability to handle money, count and make change.
• Customer Service or Cosmetic industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive retail product sales and upsell promotions to clients.
• Cross-sell services to other salon areas and manage refunds politely.
• Respond to customer service issues professionally and address complaints.
• Maintain professional communication with clients and staff in challenging situations.
• Ensure refunds and re-dos are handled smoothly and timely.
• Promote the business outside of the salon and maintain scheduling.
