Job summary

Cognizant in the United States is seeking a Salesforce QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of Salesforce applications and integrations across the enterprise.

You will design test strategies, automate with Selenium WebDriver in Java or Python, validate Salesforce configurations, perform functional and API testing, and collaborate with developers and business teams to resolve defects throughout the SDLC.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on experience testing Salesforce platforms including Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, custom objects, fields, page layouts, Lightning components, and security models.
• Experience configuring Salesforce environments: profiles, roles, permission sets, and flows.
• Proven test automation experience using Selenium WebDriver with Java or Python.
• Experience testing REST and SOAP APIs and third-party integrations using tools such as Postman.
• Strong knowledge of test planning, test case design, regression testing, and defect management.
• Experience validating data using SOQL and SQL queries.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive test strategies for Salesforce applications, integrations, and business processes.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Java or Python.
• Validate Salesforce configurations, including custom objects, fields, Lightning components, workflows, and security settings.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, API, and integration testing to ensure successful releases.
• Collaborate with development and business teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects throughout the SDLC.
• Test REST and SOAP API integrations and validate end-to-end data flows across connected systems.
• Analyze test results, track defects, and provide quality metrics and recommendations for continuous improvement.
