Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Salesforce QA Engineer to ensure quality and performance of Salesforce applications and integrations. You will design test strategies, develop automated scripts, and validate configurations across Salesforce environments.

You will collaborate with developers, BAs, and product owners in a remote US-based role, with emphasis on API testing, data validation via SOQL/SQL, and continuous improvement of quality metrics.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on experience testing Salesforce platforms, including Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, custom objects, fields, page layouts, Lightning components, and user security models.
• Experience configuring Salesforce environments, including profiles, roles, permission sets, and flow automations.
• Proven expertise in test automation using Selenium WebDriver with Java or Python.
• Experience testing REST and SOAP APIs and third-party integrations using tools such as Postman.
• Strong knowledge of test planning, test case design, regression testing, and defect management.
• Experience validating data using SOQL and SQL queries.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test strategies for Salesforce applications, integrations, and business processes.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Java or Python.
• Validate Salesforce configurations and security settings across environments.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, API, and integration testing for releases.
• Collaborate with developers and business teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects.
• Test REST and SOAP API integrations and validate end-to-end data flows.
• Analyze results, track defects, and provide quality metrics for continuous improvement.
