Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Director Salesforce Platform to own Ryder's Salesforce ecosystem. You will set vision, governance, and investment priorities across FMS, SCS, and RLM, ensuring platform health, security, data integrity, and reliable operations.

You will lead a cross-functional CoE, mentor distributed teams, and serve as the primary Ryder-Salesforce relationship owner, translating complex business needs into a coherent Salesforce roadmap while balancing risk and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 10+ years in progressive technology leadership with enterprise platforms.
• 10+ years leading Salesforce or comparable enterprise SaaS/CRM platforms.
• 7+ years leading managers and influencing cross-functional teams; establishing Salesforce CoE, governance.
• 5 years leading Salesforce org/instance rationalization and data integration/security impacts.
• 5 years executive stakeholder management, vendor negotiations, financial planning, and business-case realization.
• Salesforce multi-org strategy, platform architecture, environment strategy, lifecycle management.
• Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Field Service, analytics, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Identity and access governance, privacy, security controls, auditability, resilience.
• Product operating models, DevSecOps, release governance, IT service management, and support models.
• Vendor, licensing, budgeting, TCO, and benefit realization management.
• Data Cloud, AI/Agentforce, analytics, and emerging Salesforce technologies.
• Salesforce Administrator/Advanced Administrator or Platform App Builder (At hire).
• Salesforce Architect certifications (At hire or within plan).
• ITIL, product mgmt, agile, architecture, security, or change-management certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead Salesforce CoE and enterprise governance across divisions.
• Drive platform health, security, and lifecycle management across instances.
• Partner with enterprise architects and data leaders on reference architectures and integration patterns.
• Define and enforce technical standards, reviews, and best practices for scalability and security.
• Manage vendor relationships, licensing, and financial planning for Salesforce.
• Navigate a matrixed organization and align stakeholders to a single roadmap.
• Deliver a scalable, compliant Salesforce roadmap balancing risk and innovation.
