Job summary

MetLife’s Global Technology team in New York seeks an early-career Salesforce-focused developer to build, test, and support GB360 Sales capabilities. You’ll work with Apex, LWC, and API integrations while supporting Sales Cloud workflows and analytics.

Hybrid work is expected, with a strong emphasis on secure, scalable solutions. You will collaborate with product owners, architects, QA, and DevSecOps to apply configuration-first thinking, participate in SAFe ceremonies, and grow Salesforce depth

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ years in software development, Salesforce development, application support, configuration, automation, or similar work.
• Experience developing, testing, or supporting software, CRM, SaaS, or enterprise platforms.
• Exposure to Salesforce development or configuration concepts (Apex, LWC, Flows, SOQL/SOSL, APIs).
• Understanding of Salesforce security model (profiles, permission sets, sharing, roles, field security).
• Knowledge of source control, deployment practices, automated testing, secure coding, release readiness, production support.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building and supporting Salesforce GB360 Sales capabilities (Apex, LWC, SOQL, Flows, APIs).
• Support Sales Cloud and seller-productivity features (opportunity workflows, pipeline, Book of Business views).
• Minimize customization via configuration-first approaches; support necessary custom development.
• Prepare user stories, estimates, technical notes, tests, release docs, and support materials with the team.
• Support integrations with Data Hubs, Seismic, underwriting, pricing, MetIQ, and related systems.
• Use AI-assisted tools for analysis, code generation, testing, and documentation with human review.
• Participate in SAFe/Agile rituals (PI Planning, backlog refinement, sprints, demos, reviews).
• Review Salesforce code, designs, tests, deployment plans, and release materials with peers.
• Develop and run unit tests; assist with system/integration testing and UAT; help fix defects.
• Assist with production support, incident investigations, performance tuning, and debt remediation.
