Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a part-time Sales Specialist in Roanoke, VA to assist customers, understand project needs, and guide them to suitable products. You’ll become the product expert, explaining features, promotions, and financing to close sales while delivering friendly, efficient service on the store floor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience.
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with required sales goals or metrics.
• Able to Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or more with assistance.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state (Lowe's will support)

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by seeking out customers, understanding needs, and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, providing estimates, scheduling installer visits, processing orders, and following up to ensure project completion.
• If in the Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales, coordinating with vendors and other stores to reorder stock.
• Perform price reviews by pricing policies and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support all checkout functions and assist customers on the sales floor.
• Train associates in the department by on-the-job training and coaching.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
