Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Sales Specialist in the United States to greet customers, understand project needs, and help them select products to complete home improvement projects. You will become the product expert, explain specifications, promotions, and financing options to close a sale, and assist customers in achieving their home goals.

You will work across departments, answer questions, and support customers with estimates, scheduling, and installations while contributing to a strong team culture

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe’s retail experience (Or 3 years external in customer-facing sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail if education not met).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with sales goals or metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, handling estimates and orders.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales and coordinate with vendors/store for replacements.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing and documentation.
• Support all checkout functions and department requests.
• Train associates on the Sales floor and coach for development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
