Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. is seeking a Sales Specialist to guide customers from needs assessment to final purchase in a fast-paced retail setting. You will become the product expert, explain specs, features, and financing options to close sales while delivering exceptional service.

You’ll work across departments such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, and more, with opportunities to grow skills and advance within Lowe's. This role emphasizes customer satisfaction and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of customer-facing sales experience or 6 months Lowe's retail experience (or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe's if education not met).
• 1 year of sales or customer service experience with sales goals or metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25 lbs unassisted or more with assistance.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state (Lowe's will support and fund this).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, handling estimates, scheduling installer visits, processing orders, and following up on projects.
• In the Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales and coordinate with vendors/stores for replacement stock.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support all checkout functions and store communications as needed.
• Train associates in the department on the Sales floor and coach on development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
