Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Sales Specialist to greet customers, understand project needs, and help convert ideas into purchases. You will become the product expert across departments such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Millwork, Fashion Plumbing, Outlet, Tool Rental, Pro, or Windows & Walls.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in customer-facing sales or Lowe’s retail experience is preferred.
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with goals/metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or >25lbs with accommodation.
• May need sales-related licensure/registration as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and highlighting product advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department; provide estimates, schedule visits, process orders, and follow up on installations.
• If in the Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales/services.
• Monitor inventory levels; work with vendors and stores to find merchandise and replace stock.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing/documentation.
• Support all checkout functions and assist colleagues as needed.
• Train associates in the department and coach on development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
