Job summary

UL Solutions in Melville, NY is seeking a detail-oriented Sales Support Specialist to handle customer inquiries by phone or email and manage admin tasks across pre- and post-sale processes. You will prepare quotes using pricing tools and convert them into orders in ERP, while supporting account managers and SE/ISEs.

Ideal candidates have under 1 year of related experience, strong MS Office and CRM skills, and a solid understanding of sales processes. English proficiency is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Less than 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and CRM software.
• Strong business sense and understanding of sales processes.
• Sufficient understanding of UL products/services to generate quotes.
• Experience managing internal systems and data sources.
• Strong communication and administrative skills.
• English proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engages with customers via telephone or electronic inquiries to address inquiries and admin-related activities.
• Coordinates pre- and post-sale actions to ensure customers meet TIC certification requirements and product timelines.
• Develops and shares quotes using standardized pricing tools; prepares quotes and processes orders in ERP.
• Supports account managers and SE/ISEs with admin-related tasks and order processing.
• Additionally, connects customers to UL personnel (Account Manager, SEs/ISEs, delivery teams, engineers) as needed.
• Tracks account history and data from internal sources to aid account understanding and opportunities.
• Collaborates with internal resources to resolve inquiries and ensure customers receive the correct information and results.
• Provides input to sales strategy based on customer relationships and needs.
