Job summary

UL Solutions External Career Site is seeking a Customer Support/Administrative Associate in Northbrook, IL. You will handle inquiries by phone or email, coordinate pre- and post-sale tasks, and assist in turning quotes into orders using ERP systems.

Working under supervision, you will support account managers and SE/ISEs, track account history, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate messaging and timely delivery to customers.

Qualifications

• Experience handling customer inquiries via phone or email.
• Familiarity with ERP and quote-to-order processes.
• Ability to coordinate pre- and post-sale tasks.
• Strong administrative and data-tracking skills.

Responsibilities

• Engages with customers via telephone or electronic inquiries to address inquiries and admin-related activities.
• Coordinates pre- and post-sale actions to ensure customers meet TIC certification requirements and product adoption timelines.
• Works within standard operating procedures under supervision to develop and share quotes using standardized pricing tools.
• Client follow-up and aid in turning quotes into orders. Process quotes into Orders using ERP.
• Supports account managers & SE/ISEs by performing admin-related tasks.
• Applies experience and skills to complete assigned work within own area of expertise.
• Connects customer to appropriate UL personnel (Account Manager, SEs/ISEs, delivery teams) when appropriate.
• Tracks account history and supply data to facilitate deeper knowledge of accounts and opportunities.
• Collaborates with internal resources to resolve customer inquiries and ensure proper messaging.
• Based on relationship, provides input to sales strategy where applicable.
• Builds internal problem-solving network to anticipate problems and improve delivery.
• Meets established timelines for pre-and post-sales activities.
• Works with a moderate degree of supervision.
• Performs other duties as directed.
