The Michaels Companies Inc. in Allentown-Whitehall, PA seeks a Sales Manager to lead a high-performing selling culture, drive strong sales, and ensure an engaging customer experience.

You will oversee front-end and service operations, uphold brand standards, and coach the team to meet KPIs through effective leadership. Responsibilities include enforcing SOPs, managing POS and Self-Checkout, overseeing events and programs, promoting Loyalty Rewards, and supporting MCC/Extend, Knit & Sew Shop,

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage adherence to SOPs and company programs to ensure compliance with laws and requirements.
• Ensure execution of company policies and standards, holding team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Model and coach customer experience and selling behaviors to drive conversion and satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership and service standards.
• Ensure accurate use of POS and Self-Checkout systems for smooth transactions.
• Oversee balloons, birthday party operations, and in-store programs and events.
• Promote loyalty rewards and drive retention through consistent execution.
• Champion MCC/Extend services and customer adoption of protection plans.
• Drive sales and operational excellence in Knit & Sew Shop and Cut Bar operations.
• Ensure efficient BOPIS and Same Day Delivery execution.
• Support Custom Framing operations with customer consultations and coordination.
• Train and develop team through onboarding and ongoing skills.
• Partner in maintaining Asset Protection practices to reduce shrink.
