Job description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Sales Manager to lead a sales team and drive business growth. This role is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, coaching and motivating team members, and ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership capabilities and a proven track record of improving sales performance, building new business relationships, and expanding existing accounts to generate revenue growth.

Preference will be given to candidates with recent and successful experience in employee benefits, financial services, or related industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to achieve individual and team sales goals
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand distribution channels and grow the customer base
  • Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze trends, and report results to senior leadership
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners and clients to support long-term growth
  • Oversee the full sales cycle, including prospecting, presentations, negotiations, and closing
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to align strategies and enhance the customer experience
  • Identify new market opportunities and stay informed about industry trends and competitor activity
  • Recruit, train, and onboard new sales team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events as needed
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and pipeline within CRM systems
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Travel as needed to support business development efforts
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager, Sales Supervisor, or similar leadership role with measurable success
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
  • Ability to analyze data and market trends to inform decision‑making
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in employee benefits, insurance, financial services, or a related industry
  • Familiarity with broker or partner-based sales models
