Job summary

Belk is seeking a Selling Lead to drive store results by building strong team and customer relationships, connecting customers with product, and creating memorable experiences. This hourly role offers monthly bonus eligibility and focuses on delivering exceptional service while supporting store operations and events.

You will work to achieve personal and store metrics, greet customers warmly, process transactions, and lead by example in daily goals, onboarding, and team learning.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail experience.
• Available to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must regularly move around all store areas and be accessible to customers.
• Must bend, reach, stretch for product and lift, carry, and move at least 40 lbs.
• Comfortable with technology and devices used in stores (smartphones, tablets).

Responsibilities

• Achieve store objectives and key metrics through high ownership and accountability.
• Create memorable store experiences by engaging customers and teams, and supporting outreach and events.
• Greet and assist customers, delivering personalized service to enhance their shopping experience.
• Process transactions accurately and resolve customer inquiries professionally.
• Support selling behaviors and store performance by communicating goals and coaching teammates.
• Utilize selling tools and inventory knowledge to provide an omnichannel experience.
• Maintain policy knowledge and keep team informed about products, promotions, and events.
• Foster positive store culture and recognize team achievements.
• Maintain visually appealing selling areas, signage, fitting rooms, and cleanliness.
