Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking a Sales Floor Department Supervisor to lead a team in delivering outstanding customer service, maintaining a safe, clean, and well-stocked store, and supporting merchandising decisions.

You will coach associates, manage daily tasks, ensure coverage, handle both customer-facing and back-end activities, and occasionally open/close the store as MOD. This role emphasizes leadership and strong communication within a retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years retail experience OR 5 years retail experience.
• 1 year of experience in customer service.
• 1 year of experience supporting Pro customers (for Pro Department Supervisor).
• Experience providing direction or supervision to teams.
• Experience supporting or participating in training, mentoring and developing associates.
• Experience working cross-functionally and with store computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team to deliver the best customer experience.
• Oversee daily tasks, performance, and department coverage.
• Assist with merchandising decisions and area recovery.
• Ensure store safety and proper lifting practices.
• Occasionally open or close the store as manager-on-duty.
