Job summary

Lowe's in Ridgeland, MS is seeking a Sales Floor Department Supervisor to lead a team of associates, deliver excellent customer service, and ensure store safety and merchandising standards.

The role involves coaching, delegating, daily task oversight, and occasional MOD duties with flexibility for early mornings and evenings; lifting up to 25 pounds and occasional travel to meetings may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 3 years retail experience or 5 years retail experience.
• 1 year of customer service experience.
• 1 year of supporting Pro customers (Pro Department Supervisor).
• Experience directing or supervising teams (with/without direct reports).
• Experience training, mentoring and developing associates.
• Experience cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales licensure or registration as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide resources and tools to support those directly helping customers provide the best service.
• Assist with down stocking and area recovery and provide input into merchandising decisions.
• Monitor use of store power equipment and coach employees on safety and lifting techniques.
• Lead and enable a team of associates to deliver the best possible customer experience in the store.
• Supervise customer-facing and non-customer-facing activities and ensure store safety.
• Communicate best practices to the team and support management decisions.
• Occasionally open or close the store or serve as manager-on-duty (MOD). Travel to meetings/trainings may be required.
