Job summary

Lowe’s Companies, Inc. is seeking a Sales Floor Department Supervisor to lead a team of associates and deliver outstanding customer experiences in a busy retail environment. The role includes coaching, delegation, performance follow-up, and ensuring department coverage to meet store goals.

The position requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Ability to mentor others and work with Pro customers is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in a retail environment OR 5 years of experience in a retail environment.
• 1 year of experience in customer service.
• 1 year of experience supporting the unique needs of Pro customers (for Pro Department Supervisor).
• Experience providing direction or supervision to teams (with or without direct report responsibility).
• Experience supporting or participating in the process of training, mentoring and developing associates.
• Experience working cross‑functionally.
• Experience Using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train a team of associates to deliver the best possible customer experience in the store.
• Delegate tasks, follow up on daily tasks, manage performance and ensure adequate department coverage.
• Oversee customer-facing activities (greeting customers, identifying solutions, closing sales) and back‑office tasks (down stocking, inventory management, area recovery) and store safety.
• Identify approaches and share best practices to meet sales and service objectives and communicate them to the team.
