Job summary

Lowe’s Companies, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Sales Floor Department Supervisor to lead a team delivering exceptional customer service while keeping the store safe, clean, and stocked.

You will coach associates, handle daily tasks, supervise customer-facing activities, and support merchandising decisions while maintaining broad product knowledge across departments. Occasional opening/closing and MOD duties may be required; travel to meetings or nearby stores as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 3 years of retail experience, or 5 years in retail.
• 1 year of customer service experience.
• 1 year supporting Pro customers (Pro Department Supervisor).
• Experience directing or supervising teams (with/without direct reports).
• Experience training, mentoring and developing associates.
• Experience cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales licensure or registration as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enable a team of associates to deliver the best customer experience.
• Coach and train associates, delegate tasks, and monitor daily duties.
• Manage customer-facing and non-customer-facing activities and safety.
• Share best practices to drive sales and service objectives.
• Supervise associates in other departments as needed to meet store needs.
• Occasionally open/close the store or serve as manager-on-duty (MOD).
• May travel to meetings/trainings or to support neighboring stores.
